Alchemy John Dees Seal Crystal Ball
The seal beneath the crystal is called the Sigilum Dei Aemeth ( the seal of God ) and is a copy of that which John Dee, personal astrologer and geomancer to Queen Elizabeth I, was instructed to make in 1582 by the angel Michael. The crystal ball is then supported over the seal during scrying ( gazing into the crystal ). The seal is magnified by the crystal. The magnificent pewter dragon stand is decorated with Austrian crystal jewels.
